Forma™ uses radio-frequency technology to heat the skin causing skin contraction and the formation of new collagen. Forma™ is a device that is used to tighten the skin on the face and neck Forma Plus is used on larger parts of the body. Patients report feeling a heat sensation with no pain during treatment and some have found the procedure quite relaxing. Slight redness in the area for a few hours is the most commonly reported side effect.
Forma™ is performed weekly over a 6-8 week period. The total number of sessions will vary depending upon the patient’s amount of laxity. Maintenance sessions are desirable every 3-4 months to maintain results.
